Create assessment activities that students will complete in a particular setting, and then link those activities to SLOs that have already been established by the institution.
Choose rubrics (precise evaluation standards) from a library already created by your institution or program/department. Or, create new rubrics that fit the particular assessment activity.
Create a unique student roster for a particular assessment event, or import the roster from a particular course section.
Score your students’ assessment activities.
View your students’ achievement results—how they scored on the rubrics connected with specific SLOs—in several ways:
- Per-student scores for all assessments
- Aggregated results for your students—in percentages or actual scores—for all assessments in a particular setting
- Aggregated results for the same SLO(s), for all settings for a particular context in a particular academic term
- Aggregated results for the same SLO(S) for all contexts for a particular term
View real-time data on a particular student, with appropriate permissions, or a group of students (e.g., probationary students) for the purpose of taking appropriate action to improve student learning and progress.
Perform a program audit for a particular student. Program audits help students and advisors track student progress in completing the requirements for a program or degree. These templated documents can be configured to show requirements and electives or the sequence of courses that need to be completed in a particular program.
Create an outcomes-based transcript. When all features of eLumen are fully implemented, a student’s record can display actual learning outcomes compared to the set of expected learning outcomes for their planned degree.
Record your reflections on particular assessments for your own use at the setting level or for aggregation at the context-level.
Report actions you intend to take as a response to assessment data, by selecting from a simple menu. (If your institution activates this feature.) This data is transmitted anonymously to an institution-wide report for accreditation purposes.
Note: The specific recording and reporting features available to you are chosen by your institution.
